8 Person Private Office at 173 W Main St, Azle

This building has been a cherished part of Azle Main St. for over 100 years. It was originally built in 1904 by John Peter Smith for his nephew Dr. Bob Smith who used it as a medical clinic and residence.Dr. Smith and his family lived in the house until the mid ’30s when the Sessions family bought it. They turned it into a boarding house. Much of the antique couches and chairs have been kept in the house and are in use today in a few of the spaces. The top right corner room was rented out by the Texas Rangers. They would sit on the upstairs porch and wait for bad guys to come through town, trying to escape the law, and would arrest them.In the ’50s it was used as a private residence until bought by the Feemster family in the 1980s. The Feemsters remodeled and restored the house and used it for their accounting business for many years.In December 2019, the Weaver Family bought it with the dream of bringing something new to Azle Main Street. This house has been fully restored with modern amenities , but the old charm was left intact. Many items in the house were able to be left intact and in their original condition from 1904. It is our hope that you find this treasure of Azle to be a welcomed place of peace and business for the community.
