It was designed by George Feltham who was a leading St. Petersburg architect between 1913 and 1926. He also designed numerous other buildings, such as the First Baptist Church, the Ponce De Leon Hotel and the Historic Sunset Hotel.Originally the Palais Royale was a ballroom for the "Elite".
