Hotel Elephant Workspace

Spare Street Works was established in 2009 by Hotel Elephant as a not-for-profit company to provide space for Arts, Culture and Creative Enterprise in Southwark. Since 2009, Hotel Elephant has provided 80,000 sqft of studio, exhibition and education space across six meanwhile use buildings in the Elephant & Castle. In 2016 Hotel Elephant launched Spare Street a dedicated and permanent Creative Enterprise hub in the Elephant and Castle. Currently, Hotel Elephant has 100 members across three sites in Southwark.About Spare Street Works: “At Spare Street our mission is to create a truly dynamic Creative Business community. Where artists, makers, graduate talent and start-ups collide to create innovative ideas, products and businesses”Spare Street is a new street dedicated to Creative Enterprise in the Elephant & Castle, London. In July 2016, Spare Street opened to the public for the first time, seeing Hotel Elephant more than double its workspace provision in Southwark. At Spare Street Hotel Elephant provides a total of 9,000 sqft of workspace including a public space & cafe across five newly refurbished, glazed railway arches. At Spare Street we have a total of 24 studio spaces dedicated to recent graduates, from artists, designer-makers and start-up creative businesses. Alongside this our coworking space provides desk and office space for freelancers, start-ups and teams working in the creative industries.
