Built in 1954 in the International style of Modernism, the Simms Building was Albuquerque’s first high-rise. It was innovative in architectural style, design and technology. A renowned landmark in Albuquerque’s skyline for more than half a century, the building has recently undergone an extensive remodel to provide contemporary amenities in a distinctive urban setting.In February 1998, the Simms Building was added to the National Registry of Historic Places. Today, it is a contemporary hub for businesses large and small.
