Verge Building

317 Commercial St Ne Albuquerque NM 87102, United States

A fusion of raw materials and contemporary architectural detailing to deconstruct the traditional workspace and create something more pleasing and efficient in its place. Exposed beams, raw brickwork, pine planks, and oak finishes are the building’s original structural elements and form the core of the new design. While the historical elements are prominent, the building shows off its high-tech future with energy-efficient lighting, naturally lit workspaces, translucent interior walls, flat-screen equipped conference rooms, and lightning-fast internet connectivity. The finished product is a modern, sophisticated environment that redefines the concept of office. The redesigned spaces and infrastructure were created with entrepreneurs in mind. Offices and work stations may be added or deleted on a monthly basis. There are no long term contracts. Shared audio/video enabled conference rooms and meeting spaces are included.Features-High tech furniture-Energy efficient lighting-Lightning-fast internet connectivity-Flatscreen-equipped conference rooms-Shared audio-video enabled conference rooms-Meeting spaces are included-No long term contracts-Offices/work stations may be added or deleted on a monthly basis

HISTORY TRANSFORMEDBuilt in 1926 for the J. S. Brown & Bro. Mercantile Company of Denver, Colorado, the building was constructed as a warehouse for the distribution of goods. The building was connected to the world via a rail spur — the rail network was the driving force of Albuquerque commerce in the mid-1920s.Today, it’s known as the Verge Building and is connected to the world via state-of-the-art fiber optics. Now, the Internet is the new driving force of Albuquerque’s economy.Renovated to meet the unique needs of those early-stage tech companies — flexible, constantly changing — the Verge Building is New Mexico’s hub for innovative companies and entrepreneurs. The building is headquarters for the Verge Fund and a number of great startups.
