Friday at Spaces
Our day kicks off at Cartel, a busy café just next door to Spaces, for coffees, breakfast and some business banter. We power through the meeting efficiently, excited to go and explore 60 Martin Place and catch up with our friends at IWG/Spaces.
The foyer of the building is a testament to the grand surrounding area and it feels slick and modern. There’s a café on the ground floor that looks very inviting but because we’ve already had breakfast, we head straight up the lift.

Up on level 1, we are greeted by Spaces’ very own Ashleigh Osborn and Alana Brescia, treating us to big smiles and a short tour. We have been here many times touring our clients so know this space well, but being on the tenant end of the tour is a refreshing twist.
Today we have been allocated a corner office and within moments we’re set up and ready for action. Felix Studdy, our team DJ, gets the Friday tunes pumping in our suite and the Spaces barista serves up coffee inline with all our individual caffeine and dairy preferences.
Between loading leads, booking tour and closing deals, it can get a little loud in the office. Luckily, the phone booths are available every time we need them and the light is just perfect in there for those otherwise unflattering video calls.

Across the three floors of private offices, conference room suites and collaborative workspaces, we stay connected with super-fast Wi-Fi, and feel very welcome thanks to the helpful Spaces team. Throughout the day, everyone that's anyone in the IWG world, pops into our office to say hello.
The entire center is fairly quiet because it’s a Friday but most suites are occupied and it’s got a warm and friendly vibe throughout. The common areas have that distinct Spaces look and feel; with delicate blush textiles, timber accents, and on-trend decor.

The day flies by and before we know it, it’s the much-awaited network o'clock – that magical time when work fuses with the weekend. The IWG crew gathers from all over Sydney at Martin Place and we feel very special. We make a big toast to another fun day of Desk Surfing and more importantly; to the nine-year partnership and future success.
