This stunning space was born from the decades of experience of the Martin family in design, real estate and antiques importing businesses. It all began when Scott Martin (b. 1930-2008) purchased two derelict industrial buildings - 50 Carroll St. and 507 King St. East - which he transformed into creative live - work communities known for their art installations, screenings, concerts and more. His son Kent Martin (b. 1960-2014) was the founder of 507 Antiques which quickly grew to become one of North America's largest antiques importing businesses with stores in Toronto, New York & Palm Beach. Kent's passion for antiques drives East Room's mission today to provide members with not only a space to thrive but also exceptional customer service free of charge!
